Leonel, our project supervisor, has 20 years of trade experience and has been a member of the Handy Manny’s Team since January 2021. He began working as a painter when he immigrated to the United States, and genuinely enjoys every aspect of the trade. In addition to painting, he specializes in drywall and plaster repairs and replacement.

He began working as a painter when he immigrated to the United States, and genuinely enjoys every aspect of the trade. In addition to painting, he specializes in drywall and plaster repairs and replacement. Originally from Honduras, Leonel has 4 children and lives in Annandale, Virginia. He loves to spend his free time with his children. He describes himself as a sociable and empathetic person with an unbeatable work ethic and a positive outlook. Leonel is a truly invaluable member of Handy Manny’s Painting.

Ruben has five years of painting experience and has been on the Handy Manny's team since June 2021. He immigrated to the United States from San Pedro Sula, Honduras with his wife and two young children in 2020 and currently lives in Falls Church, VA. In Honduras, he was a math teacher. Ruben has five years of painting experience and has been on the Handy Manny's team since June 2021. He immigrated to the United States from San Pedro Sula, Honduras with his wife and two young children in 2020 and currently lives in Falls Church, VA. In Honduras, he was a math teacher. He was drawn into the painting trade by friends, and since then has grown to appreciate it as an art form. He likes rolling best, but does not enjoy all the dust that comes with sanding. In his free time, Ruben enjoys watching television series or the news. He considers himself to be an extrovert and loves all types of music, but especially salsa, merengue and cumbia. He is also a huge fan of marching bands. If you've worked with us in the past, you may have noticed that Ruben is also largely responsible for clean-up. He leaves all of our jobsites squeaky clean and for that we are incredibly grateful! We have really enjoyed watching Ruben grow as a painter over the past year and a half, and are excited for his future as a continued member of our team.

Yexzon, the newest member of the Handy Manny’s team, joined us part-time in August of 2021 before transitioning to full-time in June 2022. A recent graduate of Justice High School, he was born and raised in Honduras but immigrated to the United States with his family a few short years ago. Yexzon, the newest member of the Handy Manny’s team, joined us part-time in August of 2021 before transitioning to full-time in June 2022. A recent graduate of Justice High School, he was born and raised in Honduras but immigrated to the United States with his family a few short years ago. For Yexzon, painting is a family affair: his brothers and father all work in the trade, and he began learning to paint as a child. With 8 years of experience, he decided to pursue painting as his profession because it is something that he truly enjoys doing, although he could go without sanding ceilings (Couldn’t we all? It’s some backbreaking work!). In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer. Yexzon is an invaluable member of our team who contributes an incredible level of precision and speed - we couldn't do this without him!

With close to 30 years of trade experience, you can trust that you have a true expert working on your home repairs when you work with Jorge. Originally from California, he has lived in Northern Virginia for the past 20 years and is happily married with 3 children. In his free time, he likes to cook. He describes himself as a neat freak and a people person. You’d be hard-pressed to find a friendlier and more talented finisher than Jorge.
